An amazing opportunity has become available to join our beautiful Quirindi Preschool. Quirindi is in the heart of the scenic Liverpool Plains. Ideally situated only 50 minutes from the major regional centers of Tamworth, Gunnedah and Scone. Newcastle is an easy 3 hour drive south via the Hunter Expressway.


Quirindi Preschool Kindergarten is a 40 place community-based preschool. The preschool has been operating for over 50 years and is an exceptional service catering for 3-5 year old children who spend most of their day learning in a beautiful bush setting, connecting with each other and nature.

The position package includes:


●       Permanent full-time position (5 days per week) to commence beginning of term 4, 2024

●       Operating NSW School’s Term calendar, inclusive of 11-12 weeks school holiday

●       A balance of hands-on teaching and administration

●       Wages to be negotiated based on qualifications and experience

Essential criteria:

●       Hold a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Teaching or equivalent)

●       Proven capacity to manage the business and regulatory components of running a preschool

●       An understanding of the not-for-profit sector and experience working with volunteer committees (preferred but not essential)

●       Ability to manage day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and upholding exceptional standards in maintaining children’s safety and           development

●        The ability to lead a team of dedicated educators with communication, guidance, and support.

●       The ability to evaluate performance and support professional growth of staff

●       Ability to engage in effective communication with families and carers in a professional manner

●       Ability to ensure the physical environment is well maintained and managed

●       Willingness to represent the preschool within our local community, founding partnerships and promoting the preschool’s values

●       Possess excellent organisational and time-management skills  

●       Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

●       Demonstrated capability to lead the collaborative design, implementation, and evaluation of learning programs that engage children

●       Sound understanding of Education and Care Services National Regulations and Education and Care National Law, National Quality Standards, Early Years Learning           Framework,Quality Improvement Plans and Workplace Health and Safety

Prior experience as a director is preferred but not essential

You will be required to provide certified copies of the following training and/or certificates:

- Working with Children Check (current and valid)

- National Police Check (current)

- Child Protection Training

- First Aid Certificate (current)

- CPR / Anaphylaxis / Asthma training (current)

-NESA Teacher accreditation - proficient (current)

Qualifications

Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Teaching or equivalent)
